Creative Europe’s MEDIA sub-programme supports film, television, new media and video games, offering funding, training and networking opportunities.
Support for organisations that propose annual events, tools and activities designed to facilitate access to markets for European audiovisual professionals and promote European audiovisual works.
This scheme has now closed. From 2017, film literacy initiatives are supported under the Film Education scheme and audience development initiatives are supported under Action 3 of the Online Distribution scheme.
The Europa Cinemas network is currently supported through this scheme. Bringing together over 900 cinemas in 31 countries, their activities also include an annual networking conference, innovation labs and the Europa Cinemas Label award.
