Support for the transnational distribution of European films, aiming to encourage groups of distributors to release non-national films that might be a challenge were they to be supported by market forces alone.
Support for film festivals that include at least 70% European films (or 100 feature films) from at least 15 countries. At least 50% of these films must be from a country different from that of the festival.
Support for organisations that propose annual events and activities (including computer-based information tools), designed to facilitate access to markets for European audiovisual professionals and promote European audiovisual works.
Support for audience development as a means of stimulating interest in and improving access to European audiovisual works in particular through organising international, promotional activities and film literacy initiatives.
Support for networks of cinemas that aim to boost the programming of European films with a special emphasis on non-national European titles. The Europa Cinemas network is currently supported through this scheme.
