Brakeless is a film production company founded in 2012 by film director Kyoko Miyake and Felix Matschke to enable the interaction with other companies and broadcasters for international co-productions.

Following aspiring pop singers in Japan, Tokyo Girls explores what it means to grow up as a girl in a society obsessed with young female sexuality. The project was pitched at the Creative Europe-funded IDFA Forum in 2014.
