L'Apparition (The Apparition) is a 2017 French film directed by Xavier Giannoli.

Jacques is a war journalist at a leading newspaper in France. His reputation as an impartial and talented investigator attracts the attention of the Vatican who recruits him for a special task; to investigate the veracity of a divine apparition in a small French village.  Confronted with opposing views from clergy members and skeptics, Jacques gradually uncovers the hidden motivations and sees his belief system profoundly shaken.

On Creative Europe funding, Bobby Allen, Vice-President of Content at MUBI, said:

"With the generous support of Creative Europe, our theatrical releases have reached a wider UK audience and we are growing the audience for European cinema on a global basis.. Our shared goal is to engage and expand the audience and Creative Europe provides the essential support to develop new and innovative strategies to secure the future of European Cinema."
