EEEMERGING+ is an innovative European programme which fosters young musicians who specialise in early music. Support is given to promote these young artists on the international stage, and to raise awareness of our joint European musical heritage.
EEEMERGING+, which runs from September 2019 to February 2023, builds on the success of the 2014 - 2018 EEEmerging programme which aimed to identify, select, promote and train the most promising early music ensembles across Europe. 32 ensembles and 371 artists of 25 nationalities benefited from the scheme.
EEEmerging+ has three main objectives:
• to develop and sustain the international careers of selected young ensembles, with residencies, concerts, training and promotion
• to foster the drive towards innovation, especially by experimenting with the use of new technologies to facilitate international co-operation; by proposing and testing innovative solutions for audience development; and by conceiving and trying out new forms of performance
• to nurture and encourage the expansion of the community of artists (both professional and amateur), partners and other professionals (operators, media cultural operators) and cultivate potential audiences
