Border (Gräns) follows Tina, a border guard known for her extraordinary sense of smell and a sixth sense for identifying smugglers. When she encounters Vore, a suspicious-looking man who she cannot seem to prove is guilty, she is forced to confront terrifying revelations about his true identity, herself and humankind.
Border won the Un Certain Regard Award at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
The film has also been supported through Creative Europe's Sales Agents scheme.
On Creative Europe funding, Bobby Allen, Vice-President of Content at MUBI, said:
"With the generous support of Creative Europe, our theatrical releases have reached a wider UK audience and we are growing the audience for European cinema on a global basis. Our shared goal is to engage and expand the audience and Creative Europe provides the essential support to develop new and innovative strategies to secure the future of European Cinema."
