Gruvi is a technology based media agency focused on the audiovisual industry that helps entertainment companies reach and engage online audiences.
The Audience Project (TAP) is a project developed to engage with existing and new audiences for the commercial launch of EU films through a data management platform for EU audiences.
TAP's database collects, organises and disseminates information on EU audiences so that EU stakeholders (producers, distributors and exhibitors) can improve the quality and effectiveness of their digital marketing efforts. TAP offers a publicly available dashboard that displays the results of campaigns run with TAP, so that stakeholders can review peformance of their own compaigns in order to develop insights about best practices of marketing campaigns for titles released across Europe and overcome issues with territoriality.
The initiative seeks to:
- Develop EU culture to newer and wider audiences
- Raise awareness of film talent
- Develop and foster tools and best-practices to expand the distribution industry incl local VOD
- Reduce the impact of piracy
- Promote transparency and learning through digital information
Ben Johnson, CEO of Gruvi, said:
"The EU grant has enabled us to incorporate a raft of important updates and technologies to ticketing tools that improve the ticketing conversion rates from our advertising of independent film. The process of rising the grant has also raised Gruvi political profile within the communities of European distribution, exhibition and production."
