Join Creative Scotland, Publishing Scotland and Creative Europe Desk UK for a free half-day event focusing on the benefits and challenges of including translated titles on your lists.

Start the afternoon with inspiration from writer, editor and translator Daniel Hahn, followed by some statistics and analysis on the business case for translated fiction from Nielsen.

Moderated by Mairi Kidd, interim Head of Literature at Creative Scotland, the afternoon will be an exchange of knowledge and perspectives from all attendees around these four focuses:

  • Sourcing and buying translated rights
  • Ensuring a good quality translation and finding your translator
  • Reaching the readers and marketing translated fiction
  • Balancing the accounts and how to resource your translation
