The BFI Certification Unit and Creative Europe Desk UK are delighted to co-host a networking reception following a talk from internationally renowned games designer Alistair Hope, creator of the brilliant space survival horror game Alien: Isolation and Creative Lead at Creative Assembly.

The event is part of LFF Connects, a new series of thought-provoking talks from the BFI London Film Festival which explore how film is engaging with other creative industries.

Alistair Hope’s cinematic vision makes him an ideal speaker for the new LFF Connects strand, illustrating why games designers are being lauded as auteurs in their own right and video games celebrated as an art form. Attendees will hear about Hope's work as well as his ideas and thoughts on the past, present and future of video gaming.

The dialogue about the intersection where art, technology and entertainment collide is becoming increasingly pertinent as the lines between media grow ever more blurred, and it’s trailblazing artists like Hope and his contemporaries who are defining that conversation.

LFF Connects: Games with Alistair Hope will be at Picturehouse Central on Wednesday 14 October from 4:00pm. To find out more and book your ticket, visit the London Film Festival website
