Join Fatima Djoumer (International Relations & Events) and Claudia Droc (MEDIA Co-ordinator) for a consultation session with UK cinemas that are part of the Europa Cinemas network and from the wider sector.

The event, organised with the help of Creative Europe Desk UK, is an opportunity for exhibition professionals to get a European perspective on UK cinema exhibition, to discuss any issues that particularly affect the UK in relation to European policies including the recent referendum and to feed into ongoing strategy for developing audiences for the diversity of European films. Attendees also have the chance to meet other UK cinema practitioners and discuss the benefits of being part of the network.

The programme includes presentations from industry professionals, open discussions and breakout sessions. Francesca Walker, Creative Europe Desk UK also joins the line-up to give an overview from the broader Creative Europe perspective.

The session is open to Europa Cinemas network members, representatives from any UK cinemas as well as BFI FAN Film Hub Lead Organisations Managers and Strategic partners.

It takes place at Watershed in Bristol on the eve of the Independent Cinema Office’s Archive Screening Day and the inaugural Cinema Rediscovered (28 - 31 July 2016), a new international archive film event taking inspiration from the pioneering Il Cinema Ritrovato festival in Bologna, Italy. Participants in the session are eligible for a special rate on Cinema Rediscovered passes, which entitles them to entry into all Cinema Rediscovered events: £65 (discounted from £80) and specific hotel deals in Bristol.
