As the first Glasgow International after the Brexit vote, Glasgow International and Creative Europe Desk UK-Scotland explore:
- What has international working achieved in Glasgow and further afield in Scotland?
- What are the implications for UK arts and culture?
- How might we maintain existing and initiate new partnerships with Europe?
- What are the available opportunities that will enable a sustainable and connected future?
This event follows on from the recent Cross Party Group on Culture event ‘International working in the visual arts’ at Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, and aims to provide an open platform for discussion.
The roundtable will be chaired by GI director Richard Parry and confirmed speakers so far include:
- Sam Trotman, Scottish Sculpture Workshop (partners in Cooperation Project Frontiers in Retreat)
- Seonaid Daly, Scottish Contemporary Art Network
- Natalia Palombo, Many Studios
- Ilana Halperin, artist
- Ellen Blumenstein, HafenCity curator
- Isabel Moura Mendes, British Council Scotland
- Kate Deans, Creative Europe Desk UK-Scotland.
Tea and coffee will be served upon arrival from 1.30pm, with the panel starting at 2pm.
