Documentary Wales' Wales Docs Day

Creative Europe Desk UK - Wales is pleased to support Wales Docs Day, a one-day symposium organised by Documentary Wales/Dogfen Cymru to discuss the future of documentary film in Wales. Wales Docs Day aims to draw together a range of talent from Wales who share a passion for documentary.
The focus of the day is on:
- Strengthening the community of documentary film makers currently working in Wales
- Exploring ways of building the audience for documentary film in Wales
- Discussing future plans for supporting documentary film within the Welsh production sector
The day includes presentations by two key figures in European Documentary who will share their experience of developing documentary film networks:
- Noe Mendelle, Director of the Scottish Documentary Institute
- Paul Pawels, Director of the European Documentary Network
The day concludes with an evening screening of Lambert and Stamp, a documentary telling the story of how aspiring film makers Chris Stamp and Kit Lambert, searching a subject for their underground movie, wound up discovering, mentoring and co-managing English rock band The Who.
