UK-based production companies are invited to join us for an in-depth workshop designed to give insight into how to put together an application for Creative Europe’s MEDIA sub-programme development funding schemes.

With the call for Single Project development funding announced last week and the first application deadline just seven weeks away on 19 November, now’s the time to get some advice and support if you are thinking of submitting an application.

The workshop includes:

  • an overview of of the Single Project and Slate development schemes
  • a rare opportunity to ask your questions directly to Virve Indren, Head of Sector for Development at the EACEA (the agency in Brussels that administers Creative Europe)
  • case studies from other UK producers who have accessed this money successfully
  • a step-by-step guide to the application process, including some valuable hints and tips.

Event Schedule

  • 2:00pm  Doors Open: Arrivals and Registration
  • 2.30pm  Development Presentation: Virve Indren, Head of Sector for Development will offer some insights into each scheme.
  • 3.00pm  Q&A: Your chance to ask questions about the schemes direct to the Head of Sector for Development.
  • 3:30pm  Beneficiary Case Studies: Learn from those who got it right as three Creative Europe-funded producers share their experiences of the schemes and the impact the grants have had on their projects. Panellists include: Ed Dallal, Spring Films (documentary), Alicia Brown, Optimism Film (fiction) Tim Goodchild, 1973 Films (animation).
  • 4:00pm  Networking Break: An opportunity to meet fellow delegates and chat to our speakers.
  • 4:30pm  Application Tutorial: A step-by-step guide to submitting an application, with some useful tips on how points are awarded. Make sure to stick around for this if you are considering applying.
  • 5:00pm  Event Ends

Not sure if you are eligible to apply for Creative Europe development grants?

Take a look at the overview of each scheme to find out if this event is right for you. If you are still not sure, then get in touch with one of our MEDIA specialists around the UK.

Please note that eligible production companies can only submit an application for one of these three deadlines.

Can't make it to London?

We will be organising a number of similar events in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland over the coming weeks including:
