FuturePlay Exchange is a full-day conference at the University of Edinburgh’s George Square campus aimed at creative businesses, artists, producers and arts industry professionals. The day will examine future ideas, strategies and trends while offering concrete, practical insights and opportunities for discussion and knowledge-sharing.

Creative Europe Desk UK are hosting a panel at FuturePlay on videogame narrative, discussing how narrative is designed for games. This will include how features such as UX, storytelling and visual design influence the narrative experience. We’ll also explore how feedback and data influence projects during and after production.

Panel speakers:

  • Paul Callaghan, Games & Interactive Programme Manager, British Council (chair)
  • Jennifer Schneidereit, Nyamyam Games
  • Cash DeCuir, Writer, Failbetter Games
  • Peter Broqvist, Game Writer, Image and Form Games

Creative Europe supports the development of narrative-led video games from concept to prototype, regardless of platform or distribution method.
