Creative Europe at EIFF: Inside Feature Development
Traverse Theatre, 10 Cambridge St, Edinburgh EH1 2ED
Creative Europe returns to Edinburgh International Film Festival with a panel focusing on the development process of feature films.
Before the cameras have even started rolling, a film will have gone through multiple changes of direction, many false starts and had its fair share of highs and lows. The development process can be a long road and in this panel we will discuss the process of going from having a great idea, through to having a script packaged, financed and ready to shoot with some of Europe’s most exciting production companies.
Speakers include:
Wellington Films – Rachel Robey
Founded by Rachel Robey and Alastair Clark in Nottingham, Wellington Films has grown to take on bigger, more ambitious films with creativity and integrity and a focus on breaking out new talent. Wellington’s films include London to Brighton, Better Things, The Levelling and Calibre which premieres at EIFF this year. Wellington also co-produce, offer creative consultancy and have built a development slate featuring a range of diverse talent.
Claire Mundell

Claire has an impressive track record in network television with over 14 years experience at the BBC across multiple genres and has held various senior editorial roles within the organisation. Claire is a former Chair of BAFTA Scotland and an alumni of the prestigious film business development programme, Inside Pictures.
The panel will be followed by drinks in the Traverse bar.
