British Council, 10 Spring Gardens, London SW1A 2BN
Creative Europe Desk UK's Application Workshop for Literary Translation provides support and guidance to publishers and publishing houses applying to the 2016 Creative Europe funding deadline for Literary Translation.
This funding supports the translation, publication and promotion of published literary works from across Europe, to promote the transnational circulation of high-quality literary works in the European Union and beyond and to reach new audiences. There is a deadline for Category 1 (Slate funding) on 27 April 2016. Applicants can apply for a maximum grant of €100,000 for the translation of 3 to 10 books.
How the workshop works
We will guide workshop attendees through the application process and eForm, explain the required annexes and attachments and the budget form, and give you advice and guidance around the expectations for each element.
The workshop features a successful Literary Translation applicant who share their expertise and experience of completing the application form and publishing works supported by the Creative Europe.
So that you make the most out of the workshop, we encourage all attendees to do the following ahead of the session:
- Read the Literary Translation information on our website
- Look through the official call details and guidelines
- Download the eForm and go through (or start completing) the application form.
Coffee and refreshment are provided.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the workshop to allow for time to register at reception and go through security.
