Creative Europe Application Webinar for Literary Translation
Please note this webinar has now been cancelled and we are now instead offering individual in-person or Skype sessions at an agreed time for all publishers who are planning on applying. To book a session, please get in touch via email.
Join us for a free webinar aimed at UK publishers and publishing houses applying for Creative Europe's Literary Translation funding opportunity with a deadline on 27 April 2016.
The webinar is primarily for UK-based applicants who weren't able to attend the application workshop in London on 29 March. Creative Europe Desk UK will offer support and guidance to UK publishers and publishing houses around the technical and content requirements for a successful application.
This funding opportunity supports the translation, publication and promotion of published literary works from across Europe, to promote the transnational circulation of high-quality literary works in the European Union and beyond and to reach new audiences. There is a deadline for Category 1 (Slate funding) on 27 April 2016. Applicants can apply for a maximum grant of €100,000 for the translation of 3 to 10 books.
How the webinar works
We will guide workshop attendees through the application process and eForm, explain the required annexes and attachments and the budget form, and give you advice and guidance around the expectations for each element. There is the opportunity for questions at the end.
So that you make the most out of the workshop, we encourage all attendees to do the following ahead of the session:
- Read the Literary Translation information on our website
- Look through the official call details and guidelines
- Download the eForm and go through (or start completing) the application form.
Once you have registered, you will be sent instructions on how to join the webinar.
