Maintaining Global Visions at Times of Change: SCAN Gathering and AGM

Kate Deans from Creative Europe Desk UK will be at the Scottish Contemporary Art Network (SCAN)’s AGM Tuesday 18 April giving an update and reassurance on Creative Europe funding and opportunities for UK creative and cultural organisations following the EU referendum

While the AGM is only open to SCAN members, non-members can register for free for the public event Maintaining Global Visions at Times of Change, which starts at 2pm and is followed by a networking reception at 4pm.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Anne Barlow, Tate St Ives
  • Karen MacKinnon, Artes Mundi
  • Kate Gray, Collective
  • Dele Adeyemo, Pidgin Perfect

You can also catch Kate later in the afternoon to discuss Creative Europe funding and opportunities, European networks and partnerships, and developing transnational projects.

From artistic networks and platforms for emerging talent through to international artistic residencies and co-curated exhibitions, Scottish Sculpture Workshop, Curated Place (producers of Aberdeen’s Spectra festival), as well as the National Galleries of Scotland and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland are all involved in transnational Cooperation Projects with a visual arts focus supported by Creative Europe’s Culture sub-programme.

You can read about other Creative Europe supported projects involving UK organisations such as the Tate Liverpool, Ffotogallery, Crafts Council, Isis Arts and Fabrica, in our projects database

If you’re not able to make it to this event, Kate is based in Creative Scotland in Edinburgh and available for discussing project ideas, partnerships, and application advice via email, phone or in person – just get in touch.
