‘A Deep and Special Relationship’ – Exploring the Writer/Director Partnership

The MEDIA sub-programme only offers support for producers, right? Wrong! the first session of our 'Staying Together with Creative Europe' series, we will look at a number of opportunities to help writers and directors bring their projects to the international market.
Organisers and participants from MEDIA supported training courses will discuss the benefits and opportunities that can arise from the courses themselves, while also looking more generally at the craft of developing a script for the international market and the pros and cons of being a solo writer/director vs. working in a partnership.

Our guests will be joined by British participants from each course, including:

The session will run from 5 - 7 pm and will be followed by a chance to network with speakers and fellow attendees until 9pm.

Staying Together with Creative Europe
A season of events held throughout 2018 organised by Creative Europe Desk UK and framed within the context of the ongoing negotiations for the UK exiting the EU.
Through six sessions dedicated to specific topics, we will showcase some of the initiatives and support mechanisms funded through Creative Europe’s MEDIA sub-programme, while asking leading voices from the European audiovisual industry to explore what the phrase “We are leaving the European Union, but we are not leaving Europe” might mean for UK audiovisual professionals looking to internationalise their careers and expand their networks
